Shimoga, Oct 20: A newborn baby was found in a garbage bin on Sunday at Holebenavalli near Shimoga.

The villagers who heard the cries from the baby arranged the government ambulance to drop the baby to Megan hospital in Shimoga.

The baby presently being looked after by the child welfare committee is healthy. Police are in search of parents.
