Mangalore, Jul 18: S R Bansal, chairman and managing director of Corporation Bank inaugurated the "24x7 e-Lobby at the Corporate office premises of the bank in Pandeshwar here on Thursday July 17.
After inaugurating, S R Bansal said, "The e-Lobby has been specially opened for the convenience of the customers. It is opened at a vantage point in the corporate office of the bank opposite Forum mall. To meet the multifarious needs of various customers this is the first e-Lobby opened in the city by the bank."
"The '24x7 e-Lobby' has self-service automation kiosks which include Cash Deposit Kiosks, Cheque Deposit Kiosks, Self-service Passbook printer and an ATM. The kiosks are user-friendly and can be used at ease by the customers," he added.
The cash deposit kiosk can be operated by entering the 15 digit account number and placing the cash on the deposit tray. A maximum amount of Rs 49,900 only can be deposited per day in the denominations of Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1000 upto 40 number of notes per transaction.
Through the self-service passbook printer, customers can update their passbooks anytime. The passbooks containing barcode of the bank are to be inserted in the machine for updation. The display messages on the screen will guide the users for turning the pages until completion of the process.
Clearing cheques can be deposited at the cheque deposit kiosks by writing the name, account number and contact number on the reverse side. The display messages on the screen will guide the user and an acknowledgement will also be received on completion of the transaction.
S R Bansal also mentioned that the customers come in the evening and most of the times on Saturdays and Sundays.
"There will be one person standing to guide the customers and very soon another person will be appointed to guide and cash will be deposited to the customers account as soon as the transaction is completed," he added.
Amar Lal Daultani, B K Srivastav, executive directors of the bank, R Natarjan , general manager of Corp bank, Pandeshwar and others were also present during the occasion.
