New Delhi, Jul 7: The Delhi Police has seized heroin worth Rs 41 crore and arrested the alleged kingpin of an inter-state drug trafficking chain and his associate, a senior police official said on Thursday.
Gurnam Singh, wanted by police in Delhi and Punjab and by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), was arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police from Mahipalpur near the Delhi-Haryana border in the wee hours of Thursday.
Singh, a resident of Amritsar in Punjab, was intercepted on the Delhi-Jaipur highway after police got information that he was shifting huge quantity of heroin from his hideout in Delhi to Ambala, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.
