Mangalore, Jun 7: "The union government will be spending more than Rs 3 crore for development of highways in the state," said union minister K H Muniappa.
He was speaking to the reporters at the Circuit House here on Wednesday June 7 morning. He was on his way to Shri Mookambika Temple at Kollur when he stopped at the Circuit House to take rest.
He said that he had already spoken to the concerned officials to sort out the problems faced by the public owing to the four lane project in the district. He also said that the National Highway 17 and 48 which are badly in need of immediate repairs too will be taken care.
He assured that all the state and national highways passing through the state will be repaired and properly tarred.
