Mangalore, Jun 7: At an estimated cost of Rs 2.05 crore the New Mangalore Port will have a cruise lounge.
The proposal for development of a cruise lounge was placed last year and the work order was issued in May 2006.
Several cruise ships entered Mangalore and as their number increased year after year, the need for a well equipped cruise lounge was felt.
The new cruise lounge is indeed a welcome development and a step towards making the coastal region a tourism hub.
