Kundapur, Jun 3: As many as 25 people were injured when two buses collided near the entrance of Kumbashi Temple on the National Highway.
One of the local Durgamba buses, travelling from Udupi to Kundapur stopped suddenly without prior warning. The other APM bus driven by one Mahesh, failed to apply breaks and rammed against the Durgamba bus from behind at high speed.
The injured, Raghu, Shrikant, Prakash, Disha, Raghuram Shetty, Narayana, Nagraj Kharvi, Jagdish, Sheena, Supriya, Swapna, Manjusha of Kerala and others, have been admitted to N R Acharya hospital in Koteshwar and government hospital in Kundapur. None of them have been seriously injured. One Revati who was travelling by her car when the accident took place, helped to admit the injured to the hospitals.
Kundapur inspector Raghav Padil is investigating the case.
