Mangalore, Jan 19: Tender Foot Pre School and Coaching Institute celebrated its third annual day on Saturday January 18 in Lourdes Central School auditorium, Bejai, Mangalore.
Doreen Patrao welcomed the chief guests, Fr Victor Machado, Bejai parish priest, inaugurated the ceremony.
Chief guest Fr Michael Lobo, principal of Lourdes Central School, addressing the gathering, said, “To take care of these little ones is very tough, and I am really happy that Tender Foot institution has taken the initiative to take care of these kids. We can wait for anything, but the kids cannot. They are growing and education has reached the top where it gives preference to the kids."
Dr Victor Machado, Bejai parish priest, in his presidential speech, said, "When a child is born in the family, it is a gift from the God. Tender Foot is doing a great job and it is a challenging and responsible task. My only desire here is Tender Foot institution should inspire every human. Kids must get quality education and this institution is providing it."
Guest of honour Peter Nirmal, general manager of Gateway Hotel, Mangalore, conveyed his best wishes and wished it success in future.
Mamtha Bhandary, trustee of the school presented the annual report and the milestones of the school, which was followed by prize distribution. The program was professionally compered by Geetha Kishore, while Glen Patrao, trustee and correspondent proposed the vote of thanks.
The talents of the kids were unleashed through various acts, songs and dances which were choreographed by Raksha. It was indeed a fun filled occasion to be in the midst of tiny tots, which brought back some fond childhood memories among the audience.
