Dubai, Sep 26 : Ronald Colaco, NRE entrepreneur and philanthropist symbolically launched Konkani's first-ever Konkani webserial, produced by Vincent Fernandes of 'Mogachi Lahran' fame on Wednesday, September 25 at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Dubai.
"Konkani needs innovation. Vincent is known for his innovations in the music field, now he has taken efforts to bring Konkani into e-sceen with the first-ever Konkani webserial. People should support him in every possible way," said Colaco after launching the webserial "Lisavanchim Lahran".
The serial will be streamed on daijiworld.com from October 20, 2013. There will be a total of 12 episodes, and every month two episodes will be launched. The serial will have a complete story in each episode.
Earlier, Roshan D'Silva, who compered the event welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. Actress Sunitha Menezes briefed about the themes and content of the serial. She narrated how the idea of making the serial came to Vincent's mind.
Ronald Colaco was the chief guest, while Walter Nandalike of daijiworld, Harish Sherigar of ACME, Joseph Mathias of Merit Freight Systems, Frank Fernandes of Mosaco Shipping and Maxi Pinto of Sun Max LLC were the guests of honour.

Walter Nandalike in his address appreciated Vincent who he said keeps pace with technology. "He has already dedicated 9 Konkani musical albums, and now with his latest innovation he has made an effort to bring Konkani artistes on to the screen by giving them an opportunity through this serial." He called upon people to support him financially as well as morally.
Harish Sherigar, Joseph Mathias and Frank Fernandes too spoke on the occasion and urged everyone to support Vincent and his team.
Serial director Ashwath Samuel, ace cameraman Mani who shot the full serial and all the actors were presnt on the occasion.
As part of entertainment, Brian Fernandes and group presented spectacular dances. Harish Sherigar, Melvyn and others presented Tulu, Konkani, Kannada and Hindi songs.
The event ended with dinner at midnight.
