Porvorim, Mar 1: 'Colosseum 2006', a management fest, was organized by ICFAI National College Porvorim at the Don Bosco Oratory Hall, Panaji recently.

D-Link chairman and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Nitin Kunkolienkar was the chief guest for the Valedictory Function.

Sixteen colleges of Goa and Karnataka participated at Colosseum 2006 which was sponsored by LG X Mobiles and supported by Canara Bank, State Bank of India, Sea Scan Marine, Airtel, BPL, IFB, FrankFinn and MTR ice creams.

Rosary College - Navelim and Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) – Porvorim were declared joint winners at the meet.

Among the various competitions conducted, the highlight of the event was 'The Gladiator' - a stress interview, won by IHM. The quiz competition was won by Rosary College - Navelim.

The added attractions were a grand fashion show and dance competition. The costumes displayed by the college students were creative and trendy while the dance competition showcased a fusion of Indian and western culture with social messages like: 'Give Peace a Chance', 'Say no to drugs' , 'Recycling of plastic, paper etc. both these competitions were won by IHM.

An eminent panel of judges spared their valuable time to judge the various competitions at the meet.

'Colosseum 2006'  was a mega event which attracted a huge crowd of students and general public. ICFAI National College Porvorim also announces admission open for 2 years of management programme 2006-2008.
