Kundapur: Jaya Karnataka holds rally for uniform system of education

Kundapur, Sep 24: "Jaya Karnataka organization which has been protesting in matters concerning Kannada land, language etc for the last six years has not compromised with any party or system and will not compromise in the future also," said state president of Jaya Karnataka, B N Jagadish.
He was speaking to reporters on Monday, September 23 at Tallur during the campaign ‘Ekaroopi shikshanakkagi Kannada theru” (campaign for uniform system of education) launched in thirty districts in the state.
Explaining the concept of uniform system of education, in response to the question of the reporters, he said that education is being commercialized in the state and there are differences in syllabus of the central and state. "The system is spoilt in the hands of the ruling parties. All the children should get uniform education and the syllabus should be the same to all," he said.
When reporters asked if he has plans of supporting any political party in the upcoming elections, he said that Jaya Karnataka organization is free from politics and free from compromise. The party which is vibrant and promises of remedial measures will be supported, he said.
"Even though private educational institutions are going beyond limits, the government is turning a blind eye. Jaya Karnataka dreams of provision of uniform education to every child regardless of their status in society. A signature campaign is in progress in this regard," he said.
District working president of the organization, Prakash Rai, district president Janani Diwakar Shetty, Tallur Rikshaw driver association president Shekar Poojary, Sunil Shetty, Venkatesh Gulvadi, Udaya Kumar Mumbai, Vinay Kumar Mumbai, C K P Tallur, Devraj and Tallur gram panchayat vice-president Umesh Mogaveera welcomed the procession in Tallur and bid them farewell.
