Alto-Porvorim, Goa, Feb 28: The annual scholarship function of Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr (TSKK) was held in the TSKK premises on February 24.

Fr Lederle Memorial Scholarships of Rs. 5,000 each were granted to Sonali Phadte, Petcy Pereira, Edna Vaz and Premanand Satarkar of M A Konkani students of Goa University.

Shobha Naik and Neelima Govekar, B Ed students who have taken Konknni as a teaching subject were given Carvalho Family scholarships of Rs 5,000 each.

TSKK director Dr Pratap Naik explained the objectives of TSKK scholarships and congratulated the recipients.

Ullhas Buyanv as chief guest for the function presented the scholarships. Buyanv shared his experiences of opinion poll and other real life incidents with the students and encouraged the students never to get discouraged in life.

Deepali Sankolkar compered the function. Students who received TSKK scholarships shared their experiences.
