Mangalore, May 3: “Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) is the party founded by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa without any discrimination. The facilities given by him have not been given by any other chief minister so far. Hence, the minorities, especially Muslims, should vote for KJP,” said Hameed Kudroli, president, KJP district minority cell.
He was addressing the gathering during a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on Thursday May 2.
He further said, “When he was the chief minister, he gave a chance to Mumtaz Ali Khan to be a minister. No government has allotted more than Rs 30 crore to the minority board so far but when Yeddyurappa was in power, he had sanctioned Rs 356 crore which was later stopped by two BJP chief ministers. In addition, he had also built a Haj Bhavan at a cost of Rs 6 crore.”
“When Yeddyurappa has done so much for the minorities, then we too have a certain duty which is to make his KJP win,” added Kudroli.
Abdul Azeez Baikampady, Ibrahim Idma, Abobakkar Kairangala, Faizal Kuloor, J Ibrahim, and Lawrence D’Souza were present.
