Mangalore: Arun Jaitley to visit city on Apr 27, deliver lecture on 'India 2020'

Mangalore, Apr 26: Former union minister, prominent BJP leader, and leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley, will be visiting the city on Saturday April 27. He is scheduled to attend the programme being held by Citizens Council at Sangh Niketan here, and deliver a lecture at 6 pm.
This information was provided by the convener of Citizens Council, M K Suvrath Kumar, at a press conference held here on Thursday April 25. Jaitley will be speaking on ‘India 2020 – possibilities and challenges’.
Retired brigadier of Indian Army, P N Rai, will be the chief guest. Founder president of Karavali group of educational institutions, S Ganesh Rao will preside, he said.
Explaining that the city-based Citizens Council has been functioning among the conscious and likeminded citizens of the city since the last four years, he recalled that eminent personalities like Arun Shourie, Dr Subrahmaniam Swamy and Stephen Knapp had presented their thoughts in the previous programmes of the council.
President of the council, Bhaskar Devasya, and Ravichandra, were present at the press conference.
