Mangalore: Bus overturns at Kulshekar - Driver dies, passengers injured

Mangalore, Mar 31: The driver of the bus that overturned at Kalpane in Kulshekar on Saturday March 30 evening passed away later in the night.
The deceased has been identified as Nandish (40), a resident of Saripalla.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
Sources said that more than ten passengers, including four women, were injured in the accident.

Mangalore, Mar 30: Passengers of a private bus sustained minor injuries after it overturned at Kalpane, Kulshekar here on Saturday March 30.
The bus belonging Ambika travels was moving towards Shaktinagar when the accident took place.
Eyewitnesses said that the bus was moving at a high speed. When it reached Kalpane, the driver veered to the left where there was a ditch, the bus went out of control and fell over to the right.
Luckily, no major harm was done as the passengers escaped with minor injuries. The bus was full, but the total number of injured persons was not immediately available.
The injured were shifted to various hospitals in the city.
Mangalore rural and Kadri police arrived at the spot.
A large crowd gathered and helped in shifting the injured to the hospitals.
