Bangalore: Kumaraswamy Meets Archbishop, Discusses Plans for Minortities

Bangalore, Aug 6: The JD(S) Karnataka State President, H D Kumaraswamy, met Archbishop Bernard Moras, President of the Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops Council and also President of the Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights, at the Archbishop’s House, Bangalore on Monday August 6.

Kumaraswamy had a personal discussion with the Archbishop on the political developments in the State and explained his vision and plan for the State where the Minority Communities will be given greater attention. His traveling through the State in the recent months has helped him to feel the pulse of the people. The people as he put it, “are tired of the partisan attitude and the infighting within the present Government and hence there is a fair certainty that the JD(S) will get an absolute majority in the coming elections and form the Government.”

During his conversation Kumaraswamy twice promised that when his party to comes to power and he becomes the Chief Minister again, he will make sure that a Christian will be in the Legislative Council and a Christian will be in his Cabinet. He also promised to see that members of the different minority communities will be appointed as Chairman by rotation of the Minority Development Corporation of the Government. He also stated that he is of the opinion that the Christian community should have a separate Christian Development Corporation to look into their affairs and well being. He reminded the Archbishop that the JD(S) has already formed a separate state wing for Christians exclusively.

Fr Ronnie Prabhu the Director - PR for KRCBC, Fr A S Anthonyswamy, the PRO for the Archdiocese of Bangalore, Fr Faustine L Lobo, former PRO for KRCBC and Vikram Anthony, JD(S) State Vice President, Pradeep, General Secretary and Solomon Raju Bangalore City President Christian Minority Wing, were present among others at the meeting.

    No i would request you all to not vote for jds ,aicc,bjp, vote only looking at an indivisual or a person who belongs to any of the political parties.
