Dharwad, Jan 7: The hearing of the POCSO case against former chief minister B S Yediyurappa has been adjourned by the  Dharwad High Court bench to January 10.

The case was heard by a single-judge bench led by Justice Nagaprasanna. Senior advocate C V Nagesh argued on behalf of Yediyurappa. However, the judges directed that the case be heard in Bengaluru and adjourned the hearing to January 10.

This case has created significant political upheaval in the state, with B S Yediyurappa facing serious allegations. He had filed a petition in the High Court seeking the quashing of the POCSO case.

Although the hearings had previously taken place in Bengaluru, this was the first time the case was heard in the Dharwad High Court bench on Tuesday.
