Bangalore, May 6 (DHNS) : The Comed-K PGET counselling will be conducted from May 18.
As many as 9,702 candidates have qualified for counselling to medical seats. While, 4,112 candidates will appear for counselling to dental seats.
The admissions will be held for 12 medical colleges and 19 private un-aided colleges in the State.
Of the 9,702 candidates to face medical counselling, 2,758 candidates are from Karnataka.
Whereas, 661 candidates from the State will appear for counselling to dental seats.This year, as may as 280 medical and 200 dental postgraduate seats are open for counselling.
Also, 82 medical diploma and two dental diploma seats are available.
The first round of counselling will be held on May 18 for medical course. On May 19, counselling will be conducted for dental course.
The second round of counselling will be conducted on May 28 for medical course. Counselling for dental course will be held on May 29.
The counselling will be held at Mangala Mantapa in NMKRV College, Jayanagar III Block in the City.
Beware of touts
The Comed-K officials have warned candidates against touts and middlemen promising seats.
Candidates appearing for counselling should produce the same ID proof furnished by them during the entrance test, the officials said.
Moreover, students caught indulging in malpractice will be reported to the Medical Council of India. Also, registration of the certificate issued to the candidate will be either withdrawn or cancelled, they added.
Filing of affidavit
Students who are appearing for the Comed-K PGET counselling have to file an affidavit, in case they have already availed a seat in Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or any other deemed university in the State.
In case students fail to surrender the seats, the seats allotted through counselling will be cancelled.
The seats thus cancelled will later be made available during the second round of counselling.
