Udupi, Mar 13: "The BJP-led state administration is a failure and chief minister (CM) D V Sadanand Gowda is a CM only for name’s sake. It is the most corrupt that the state has ever seen," said former minister Basavaraja R Reddy.
Addressing media persons at the press meet held in Congress Bhavan on Monday March 12, he further said that Sadananda Gowda will present an ambiguous budget that is not justified in state funds.
"As many as 123 taluks across the state are facing severe drought. The peasants face shortage of drinking water for themselves and their livestock, and shortage of electricity. None of the ministers have visited the drought-prone taluks so far. BJP calls itself a disciplined national party which has greed for power and is involved in rampant corruption. Although UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi advised not to waste state funds, BJP has been involved in money laundering. Former CM B S Yeddyurappa faces 8 cases and is trying to cover up and become CM once again," he said.
MLA U T Khader, Farooq, and Karim were present at the press meet.
