Prohibitory orders clamped in Mangaluru following Bajpe murder; VHP calls for bandh on May 2

Mangaluru, May 2: In the wake of the murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty in Bajpe, the city police commissioner has issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC across the commissionerate limits. The restrictions will be in force from 6 am on May 2 to 6 am on May 6 as a preventive measure to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for a Mangaluru bandh on May 2 from 6 am to 6 pm, condemning the murder and demanding justice.

Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan has issued an order enforcing prohibitory orders across Dakshina Kannada district to maintain law and order until May 5. 

Additional director general of police (Law and Order) R Hithendra arrived in Mangaluru to assess the situation and oversee security arrangements in light of the incident.

Police have heightened security across sensitive areas, and additional forces have been deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.

    Why always people suffering with ths bandh?. The exams are postponed . Few days ago one man killed by group then no one talk against that.Why our police force cannot control these People to not troubling common People who need to travel other places .
