Bahrain: Dakshina Kannada Muslim Welfare Association hosts women’s health awareness programme

Media Release

Bahrain, May 2: The Dakshina Kannada Muslim Welfare Association, as part of its ongoing commitment to community well-being, successfully conducted a women’s health awareness programme at the Karnataka Social Club.

The event featured enlightening talks by two accomplished specialists — Dr Bushra Ibrahim, consultant gynaecologist, and Dr Ashmiya Abdul Razak, consultant dermatologist. Both doctors addressed key issues in women’s reproductive and skin health, shared preventive care tips, and debunked common myths in their respective fields.

An interactive Q&A session followed, where participants raised important concerns, which were addressed with professionalism and compassion. Additionally, free one-to-one consultations were provided for registered attendees, offering personalised advice and support.

This impactful programme was completely free of charge for all registered women and saw an overwhelming response from the community.

Special recognition goes to the ladies’ wing of the association for their tireless effort and seamless coordination. Their dedication ensured the event was a huge success, drawing appreciation from both participants and the doctors.
