These results are particularly significant as they lay a strong foundation for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), which is primarily based on the performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

An impressive 67.1% students have secured distinction (scoring above 85% in aggregate) in PCM. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of both students and faculty at TLC. Relevance to KCET
The II PUC board exam results, especially in PCM, play a crucial role in determining the KCET ranks. While the percentage of marks obtained in the board exams has a weighting in the KCET ranking process, it's important to recognise the distinct nature of these two examinations.
Achieving a position in the 90th percentile in the board exams is generally different from securing a place in the 90th percentile in the highly competitive KCET. Over the years, the institure has observed that some students in the STEM field who have topped their board exams have not necessarily achieved the same level of success in competitive STEM entrance exams like JEE and NEET. This highlights the critical importance of a balanced preparation strategy, where
students understand their ultimate goals – be it engineering or medicine – and focus their efforts accordingly.
While these board exam results are undoubtedly a significant achievement, it's crucial to remember that topping this
examination alone does not guarantee admission to the top STEM programmes in the country.
