Sullia, Apr 18: A wild elephant caused significant damage at Kalmakaru in Sullia taluk, where six electric poles were brought down following the animal’s activity.
According to reports, the elephant had felled a tree in an attempt to eat its bark or fruit. The tree then crashed onto a power line, resulting in the collapse of six electricity poles.

The incident led to a disruption in power supply in the affected area.
