Kaup, Apr 4: A camp for the needy children, parents and the public on Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Counselling was held at Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Center (MRTC), Pamboor, on April 3.
Dr Edward Lobo, founder, managing trustee inaugurated the programme. He elucidated the efforts of the Centre in making it possible the required treatment and therapies for the needy children closer to their doorsteps and called upon the parents to make use of the same.



Joseph Noronha, secretary of the Trust spoke aptly on the occasion and narrated the immediate need of the Centre in catering to the treatment needs of the children and its efforts in the areas of physiotherapy, speech therapy and Professional Counseling. He introduced the new therapists in these areas to the gathering.
For the better awareness of the aspiring children and parents who would undergo specific therapies the specialists of MRTC presented in detail the basic concepts pertaining to Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Counselling. The children screened for further treatment/therapy will be given the same free of cost during April and May 2025.
About 40 parents and children attended the programme and underwent the screening.
Henry Menezes, president, MRTC welcomed the gathering and Sr Vinny Gonsalves, principal, proposed the vote of thanks.
Joint secretary Dr Gerald Pinto, founder trustee, John Martis, Walter C Pinto and Gerald Rodrigues, president, Catholic Sabha, Shirva deanery were present on the occasion.
