Blast at Mosque in Beed: two arrested, security tightened

Beed, Mar 30: A day before Eid-ul-Fitr, a blast rocked a mosque in Talawada village, Beed district, after gelatin sticks were allegedly placed inside. While no casualties were reported, the explosion caused damage to the mosque’s interior.

According to officials, an unidentified man reportedly entered the mosque from the back and planted the explosive material, triggering the blast. The incident came to light around 4 am when the village head alerted the Talawada police.

Beed Superintendent of Police Navneet Kanwat, along with senior officials, rushed to the spot to assess the situation. In response, authorities have deployed heavy security in the village to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, police have arrested two individuals in connection with the case, and an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
