Bantwal: Heavy rain causes widespread damage, multiple houses & crops affected

Bantwal, March 13: The heavy rainfall that lashed the coastal region on Wednesday night caused widespread damage in various areas, resulting in losses amounting to lakhs of rupees.

In Moodupadukodi village, Jayant Gowda's house suffered partial damage. In Chennaitodi village, Shivray Nayak’s areca and banana plantations were affected.

 

Similarly, houses in Pilimogaru village also reported damage. Sunnaradapoli Sundara’s house and the areca plantation of Dapparbailu Venkappa Shetty in the same village were damaged.

Prabhakshira’s house in Pilimogaru also saw damage to the nearby wall. In Kasba village, the house of Chikka, a resident of Arabbi Guddenivasi, was also damaged due to a fallen tree.

Revenue department officials from Bantwal taluk visited the affected areas for assessment and verification.
