During a high-level cabinet meeting on March 6, Trump reassured his officials that while DOGE may recommend cost-cutting measures, it will only serve in an advisory capacity. His remarks come amid growing concerns over Musk’s aggressive push to streamline federal agencies, which included asking employees to justify their roles or face termination.
