Udupi, Jan 31: Department of AI-ML & AI-DS engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi in association with CoreEL Technologies, Bengaluru and ISTE has successfully inaugurated a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled 'Engineering Intelligence: An Advanced Technique in MATLAB', on January 27.
The programme was inaugurated at the Institute premises, marking the commencement of the FDP through a melodious invocation by Hithashree, student of 7 th semester AI and DS engineering.
The ceremonial inauguration was marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp, graced by dignitaries on the dais. Vandana U, assistant professor, department of AI-DS, introduced the esteemed resource person, Rakshith B S, senior application engineer for MathWorks from CoreEL Technologies, Bengaluru.
In his inaugural address, Rakshith B S brought his expertise in advanced MATLAB techniques, setting a strong foundation for the sessions to follow.
The event also featured a presidential address by Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of SMVITM.
Dr Bhat congratulated the department for organizing the FDP and encouraged participants to actively engage in the sessions to enhance their technical knowledge and professional capabilities.
Dr Mamatha I, head of the department of AI and ML engineering, SMVITM proposed the welcome address and the vote of thanks was delivered by Nagraja Rao, associate professor and in-charge head of the department of AI and DS. Megha Rani, assistant professor from AI-ML department compered the event.
The FDP featured interactive sessions, hands-on workshops, and expert-led discussions on MATLAB’s advanced capabilities. About 40 faculty members from various institutions registered and get benefitted by this programme.
