Mumbai, Jan 31: Prime Video has released the much-anticipated trailer of its upcoming original film, The Mehta Boys, offering a poignant glimpse into a strained father-son relationship. Directed by acclaimed actor-filmmaker Boman Irani, who has co-written the script with Academy Award-winner Alex Dinelaris, the film delves into themes of family conflict, emotional turmoil, and personal growth.

Produced under the banner of Irani Movietone LLP in association with Chalkboard Entertainment LLP, the film boasts a stellar cast including Boman Irani, Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhry, and Puja Sarup in pivotal roles.

Speaking about the film, Boman Irani shared, “For me, The Mehta Boys is an extremely personal journey. The father-son bond is one of the most complex and emotionally charged relationships. With this film, I wanted to explore how love, misunderstandings, and unresolved emotions can test this connection over time. This story has been close to my heart for years, and I am thrilled to finally bring it to audiences in India and worldwide. I am grateful to the talented cast for breathing life into these characters with such authenticity.”

Avinash Tiwary, who plays Amay, the son of Boman Irani’s character, expressed, “Amay is a deeply layered character, torn between familial duty and personal resentment. Certain circumstances lead him into an intense and transformative encounter with his father, challenging his perceptions in ways he never expected. Bringing this journey to life was both challenging and fulfilling. I am honored to be part of a film that resonates with universal themes of family and reconciliation.”

With its emotionally charged narrative, The Mehta Boys promises to be a compelling watch. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on February 7.
