Mangaluru: Yenepoya Naturopathy College organizes Swachhata Abhiyan on National Youth Day

Mangaluru, Jan 28: On the occasion of National Youth Day 2025, the Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), unit-1 volunteers, organized a Swachhata Abhiyan at Vidyanagara, Narigana Gram Panchayat. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and effective waste management in local communities.

The NSS volunteers of the bachelor of naturopathy and yogic sciences (BNYS) program actively participated in the campaign, engaging with the residents to promote sustainable waste management practices and highlight the critical role of cleanliness in fostering healthy living environments.

The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the NSS programme officer of Yenepoya Naturopathy College and Hospital, Ajith K, the president of the Narigana Gram Panchayat, Navaz, and the panchayat development officer (PDO), Deepika.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajith K emphasized the importance of involving youth in community service initiatives to build a cleaner and healthier society. He stated, "This Swachhata Abhiyan is not just about cleaning our surroundings but also about inspiring sustainable habits and environmental consciousness among individuals. I appreciate the efforts of our NSS volunteers in driving this important cause."

The event concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impression on the participants and the community. The college plans to continue organizing similar outreach programmes to contribute to environmental sustainability and community welfare.
