Milagres College, Mangaluru holds NSS annual special camp 2024-25

Mangaluru, Jan 13: On January 12, the annual special camp of the NSS unit of Milagres College, Mangaluru, was inaugurated at the grant-in-aid Parochial Higher Primary School, Bajpe.

Dr Ronald Cutinha, parish priest of St Joseph Church, delivered a speech emphasising that constructive work and social commitment are possible only when driven by a spirit of service. He also raised awareness about holistic personality development.

Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, director of Milagres Educational Institution, inaugurated the event and inspired the campers. The principal of Milagres College, Dr Michael Santhumayor, also addressed the gathering.

Stany D’Souza, vice-president of the church administrative committee, Diana Rodrigues, headmistress of the Parochial Higher Primary School, and Mabel Britto, coordinator of the church commissions, were present as guests.

Joel Marvin Mascarenhas, NSS programme officer, welcomed the gathering. NSS secretary Anusha Hegde hosted the event, while NSS volunteer Lenita delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 51 NSS volunteers participated in the camp.
