Jagmeet Singh warns Trump: ‘Canada is not for sale’

Ottawa, Jan 13: Jagmeet Singh, the leader of Canada's New Democratic Party (NDP) and former ally of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, has issued a strong warning to US President-elect Donald Trump regarding his recent suggestion to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.

In a video posted on X, Singh firmly declared, "Our country (Canada) is not for sale. Not now, not ever." He emphasized Canada's pride and independence, stating, "I have lived across this country and I can tell you Canadians are a proud people. We are proud of our country, and we are ready to fight like hell to defend it."

Singh's statement highlights the growing tension surrounding Trump's comments, reinforcing Canada's sovereignty and commitment to its own identity.

    We all know how he can fight. But this is not raising slogans and shoving the weak people on the streets. US with Trump coming back, is very good at dealing with such leaches.

    While living in a an Independant country, don't be proud of it and be empathetic to all religions & stop promoting seperatism. You want to form another country form it within Canada. Too proud people will not last in their prodness which we have witnessed in many other regions.
