Mumbai, Jan 8: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has witnessed a slight slowdown at the box office as it enters its fifth week. Despite the dip, the blockbuster continues to shatter records and solidify its legacy in Indian cinema.
On Tuesday, the film's earnings stood at Rs 2.25 cr, marking a gradual decline in collections after an exceptional start. The opening week saw a jaw-dropping Rs 725.8 cr in gross earnings, followed by Rs 264.8 cr in the second week. Collections tapered to Rs 129.5 cr in week three and Rs 69.65 cr in the fourth week.
The fifth week has recorded Rs 21.10 cr so far, with daily figures of Rs 3.75 cr on Friday, Rs 5.5 cr on Saturday, Rs 7.2 cr on Sunday, and Rs 2.5 cr on Monday. This brings the cumulative net collection in India to an impressive Rs 1,210.95 cr.
Globally, the film has achieved an astounding Rs 1,800 cr gross in just four weeks, securing its place among the highest-grossing films ever. Remarkably, the Hindi-dubbed version crossed the Rs 800 cr mark, becoming the first Hindi release to achieve this milestone.
Adding to the excitement, fans are eagerly anticipating the Reloaded Version of Pushpa 2, set to hit cinemas on January 11. This extended edition, featuring 20 minutes of additional footage, is timed with the Sankranti festival and expected to revitalize interest, boosting collections over the festive weekend.
Pushpa 2: The Rule has not only raised the bar for Indian cinema but also reaffirmed its ability to captivate audiences worldwide, proving its status as a cinematic phenomenon.
