Beltangady, Dec 16: A bike rider lost his life after falling under the wheels of a private bus at Kapinabagilu near Kokkada on the Dharmasthala-Subramanya Road on Sunday, December 15.
The deceased is identifed as Madhava Acharya (46), a resident of Moodabailu.
The private bus, carrying Ayyappa devotees from Andhra Pradesh to Subramanya, collided head-on with the bike near Saptagiri Complex at Kapinabagilu.
Acharya sustained severe head injuries from the impact of the collision and succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital. A carpenter by profession, he is survived by his father, wife, and three daughters.
