Mangaluru: Mount Carmel students excel at AICS tournaments, other competitive events

Mangaluru, Nov 25: The students of Mount Carmel Central School, have showcased their exceptional talent at various AICS interschool tournaments and other competitive events.

In the AICS basketball girls’ tournament for D K schools organized by Cambridge School, Mangaluru, the U-17 girls’ team clinched the 1st place, displaying outstanding teamwork and skill. Sanvi Kotian was awarded the best player trophy.

The U-17 girls’ volleyball team bagged 3rd place in the AICS SDS cross net tournament held at St Dominic School, Bantwal.

At the AICS bounce N’ shoot interschool boys basketball tournament held at Vidyadayini School, Surathkal, the U-14 boys’ team emerged as runners-up by winning the 2nd place, while the U-17 boys’ team finished in a commendable 3rd place.

In addition, Mount Carmel students demonstrated their prowess in karate at the national level open karate championship held at Udupi. Several karate participants from the school secured multiple prizes, earning the prestigious overall championship in the sub junior category.

In the table tennis tournament organized by Canara Sports Academy, Suzanne Carol DAlmeida of grade 4 bagged 3rd place in U-11 category and Suzanne, Angela DAlmeida and Aadhya of grade VI won 3rd place in the team event.

In the inter-school level KTTC online quiz held by New Saraswathi House Publications, Ridit Shetty secured 1st place and Vainavi bagged 2nd place in grade 6 category and Anurag Montheiro won the 1st place in grade 8 category.

In the ‘Agneva 2k24’ interschool competitions organized by St Agnes CBSE School, the junior team of the school secured 1st place in earthy escapades (variety competition) and in eco eloquence (switch side debate), Pratham Francis Pais, grade VI won 2nd place, thereby the school won the overall championship.

The management, staff and parents of the school congratulate and appreciate the achievements of the winners and wish them well in their future events.
