Puttur, Nov 20: A day-long annual retreat was organized for Catholic students of St Philomena College (Autonomous) on Monday, November 18, at the Divya Chethana Chapel by the Divya Chethana Association of the College. The retreat, centered around the theme ‘Seek God', offered students a profound spiritual experience aimed at deepening their faith and strengthening their spiritual foundation.
Renowned preacher Fr Ronson Pinto led the sessions, which focused on confession, building a relationship with the Lord, living a Christ-centered life, overcoming youth temptations with the help of Christ, and embracing the power of the Holy Spirit. The insightful sessions emphasized self-reflection, fostering a positive outlook among the participants.
Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of the college, expressed gratitude to the preacher Fr Ronson Pinto for imparting his invaluable insights, acclaiming the depth of wisdom and inspiration shared during the session.
Students engaged wholeheartedly in action songs, creative activities, and interactive discussions that added an element of joy and camaraderie to the spiritual journey. The highlight of the retreat included an examination of conscience, an exploration of God’s mercy, and a heartfelt confession of love.
The day culminated with the Eucharistic celebration, where the importance of God’s mercy was emphasized, leaving a lasting impression on the students. The retreat served as a refreshing break from their daily routines, offering them an opportunity to renew their minds, refresh their hearts, and invigorate their spirits.
