Kochi, Nov 8: Ryan International School, Cochin, hosted the Sweet-making Challenge 2024, featuring 15 enthusiastic teams of mothers and their children from grades I and II. This challenge was designed to showcase culinary creativity, strengthen family bonds, and promote healthy eating habits among children through hands-on cooking experiences.

Each pair of child and mother collaborated to create and present at least two dishes, with mothers overseeing the cooking process while their children took the spotlight to present the dishes and highlight their nutritional benefits. Contestants presented their dishes in a creative and aesthetically pleasing manner, ensuring that taste, texture, and visual appeal were all considered.

Through this challenge, children had a unique opportunity to develop essential skills such as public speaking, presentation, and nutritional knowledge. Mothers played a crucial role in guiding their children to master important cooking techniques, facilitating a valuable exchange of knowledge between generations. Together, they demonstrated impressive teamwork, culinary skills, and an awareness of nutrition.

The winners of this unique challenge were felicitated, bringing joy and happiness to the children and their mothers. Ryan International School, Kochi mentored by the founder chairman of the school, Dr AF Pinto, and managing director, Madam Dr Grace Pinto undertakes innovative pedagogical practices to foster the holistic development of children and facilitate parental involvement in their education.
