Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 3: A leopard attacked a farmer who had gone to cut grass in the morning at Elathur near Kinnigoli, on the outskirts of Mangaluru city.

For the past week, residents in this area have been on alert due to reports of a leopard sighting.

On Sunday, November 3 morning, the leopard suddenly attacked Ligori Pereira (58), a resident of Kalkare. As a result, he sustained injuries to his face. Ligori managed to escape the leopard attack and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Elathur region has a large population of farmers, and today’s leopard attack has left villagers in fear. Locals are urging the forest department to capture the leopard.
