Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School observes Hindi Diwas

Mangaluru, Sep 15: Mount Carmel Central School, observed Hindi Diwas on September 14 with enthusiasm and zeal to mark the anniversary of Hindi's recognition as an official language in 1949, honouring its contribution to national unity and identity.

The programme commenced with a prayer followed by welcome address. The cultural programme featuring an assemblage of songs, dances and skit showcased both talent and affinity for Hindi language.

The chief guest of the day, Tr Vani Harish, the Hindi teacher of the school, applauded and acknowledged the talents of the students and shared a story with a message of respect, responsibility and reverence to all. The administrator, Sr Carisima encouraged the students to embrace Hindi along with the other languages and highlighted its importance connecting us nationally. Thereafter, the students were felicitated for their achievements in the competitions held on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

The event concluded on a note of gratitude and admiration for Hindi, the official language of the country.
