Udupi, Sep 5: Teachers' Day celebration held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, to commemorate the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned figure in Indian history.
On the occasion, Dr Thirumaleshwara, principal, highlighted the significance of quality education and the role of honesty in building a strong society. He urged students to adopt values that contribute to a better world.
The chief guest, professor K Sadashiva Rao, retired principal of Poorna Prajna College, Udupi, emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in maintaining the essence of Indian civilization. He expressed that teachers should guide students with care and take responsibility for shaping the future, not just see their profession as a job. Professor Rao shared real-life stories to inspire students and reinforce the importance of respecting teachers and parents.
Various fun activities and games were held for faculties on the day.
Manya, a second-year student, graced the occasion with the prayer song. Kathyayini, a final year student, hosted the event.
