Mangaluru, Aug 26: The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University hosted a guest lecture on August 23 at the Hotel Srinivas Auditorium. The event was attended by as many as 354 students from the First MBA (Aviation Management) programme, as well as the First and Final Year BBA students specializing in Aviation Management, Aviation and Logistics Management, and Aviation, Travel, and Tourism Management.
The resource person for the programme was Arun M, who delivered an insightful lecture on the topic of Cabin Crew Safety and Emergency Training Procedures. The session aimed to provide aviation students with essential knowledge and skills for effectively managing in-flight emergencies and ensuring passenger safety.
The programme was organised by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies. Nireeksha, a student from final year BBA (Aviation Management) welcomed the gathering.
During the lecture, Arum Kumar shared real-life experiences and case studies to illustrate the importance of preparedness in the aviation industry.
The students were guided through various emergency scenarios, including in-flight medical emergencies, evacuations, ditching and adverse weather conditions. The session provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of cabin crew safety procedures, preparing them for real-world situations they may encounter in their aviation careers.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Preethika. and the programme was compered by Dhanya both from final year BBA (Aviation Management).
