Mangaluru, Aug 26: St Aloysius College higher primary school successfully hosted the cluster level Prathibha Karanji on August 23. The event commenced with a ceremonial welcome, where the dignitaries were escorted to the venue by the school band marching in unison.
The programme began with a rendition of the state anthem sung by the school choir. Headmistress Jositta Noronha warmly welcomed the chief guest, Lalitha Rao, educational coordinator and taluk level Prathibha Karanji nodal officer, along with Pramila, educational coordinator, Prasad Kumar, CRP of Balmatta cluster, Fr Johnson Pinto SJ, the correspondent and Liya D’Souza the assistant headmaster.
The inauguration of the programme was marked by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and student representatives. In his message, the correspondent emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities alongside academics for the holistic development of students.
Chief guest Lalitha Rao, in her address, encouraged the children to develop a competitive spirit, highlighting that participation is more important than winning.
After the formal programme, students proceeded to their respective classes to participate in various competitions. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the winners, recognizing their achievements in different categories.
Prasad Kumar, CRP of Balmatta cluster, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.
The programme was expertly compered by teacher Irene Pais and it concluded with the national anthem, leaving a sense of pride and accomplishment among all the attendees.
