Mangaluru, Aug 13: Lourdes Central School (LCS) celebrated English Week from July 18 to 25, bringing together students from classes I to XII for a series of literary activities and competitions designed to ignite a passion for the English language.
Class I and II students participated in a storytelling activity, while those in classes III to V showcased their talents in the story spectacle activity. Students from classes VI to VIII engaged in a role play competition, and classes IX to XII took part in the rendezvous with poets and authors competition.
The grand finale, held on August 3, featured an exceptional puppet show performance of a Christmas carol by Charles Dickens, staged by the students of classes IX and X. The week culminated in an awards ceremony, where the winners of the various literary competitions were honoured for their achievements.
The English Week was a vibrant celebration of literature, fostering a deep appreciation for the English language and providing students with a platform to express their creativity.
