Mangaluru, Aug 11: Ladyhill Victoria Girls’ Composite PU College has embarked on the journey of “Let’s get Quizzical.” As the motto of Ladyhill Victoria Girls’ Composite PU College signifies “Through Effort to Glory”, the college also aims at overall growth of every student. The quiz competition helps the pupil to learn and discover the realms of knowledge that surrounds it. It also aims at challenging them to test the power of wisdom they acquire, and to impart awareness and sense of curiosity among the students about the world around them.
On July 30, the Quiz prelims was conducted in which 47 teams were participated, each consisting of two participants. The top 5 teams made it to the finals which was held on August 10.
'Let’s get Quizzical' had five rounds such as multiple choice, Audio and Visual, Clue cluster and finally the brain storming Rapid Fire. The questions were based on trivia and general knowledge. The quiz master was lecturer in-charge Seema Sheikh. The Student Council helped in the overall organising of the session. Hasna, Khadija Suhaf and Raliya Fathima of second year Science assisted as the technical team.
The winners of the competition were Sara Munazzah and Zainaba Muzna of first year Science. First runners-up were Panchami Shenoy and Pavithra of second year Science and second runners-up were Bhavyashree and Rakshitha of second year Commerce. The team participant's and the audience's active participation made the entire event enjoyable and a great success.
The motto is not absolutely to create fantastic quizzers but to accelerate the passion of quizzing in students.
