Mangaluru: National level online workshop on 'Mindspace' held at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Aug 1: Srinivas University Institute of Management and Commerce 'Management Forum' organized a national level virtual workshop on 'Mindspace' on July 18 by resource person:  Srashti Choudhary from New Delhi, founder, 'Your Space to Thrive' and counselling psychologist with six years of experience.

Total 99 participants registered to this event out of which 50 colleges attended from different parts of India.

The session was very interactive with practical exercises on self reflection and guided mindfulness session. Moreover, participants thoroughly gained a deeper understanding on self.

The session on mental fitness was enlightening and interactive, designed to enhance participants' cognitive and emotional well-being. During this session, participants gained a clear understanding of what mental fitness is and how it differs from mental health. Moreover, it explored the importance of maintaining mental fitness and its profound impact on overall well-being. Keynote speaker guided participants through various techniques to boost mental fitness, such as mindfulness meditation, visualization exercises etc., also taught practical strategies to incorporate these practices into daily life. He engaged al in guided mindfulness meditation, visualization exercises, and practical goal-setting activities that equipped participants with the tools to manage stress, improve focus, and build emotional resilience.

The whole webinar was organized under the guidance of Dr Venkatesh S Amin, dean, IMC, HoDs: Prof Sharmila S Shetty (BCom Department), Prof Shilpa K (BBA Department), Management Forum incharge Prof Hansel Rego and Prof Yashwini.
