Mangaluru, Jul 21: The UKG and LKG children of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru along with their teachers transformed their classrooms into vibrant representations of their surroundings and communities on July 18. Through playful teaching and learning centred on flowers and family, the children developed a dynamic interest in their natural environment and familial bonds.
The UKG children showcased their imagination of ‘My Family’ by creating symbols such as houses, trees, and family members, including parents and grandparents, as central themes. They also built a human chain to symbolise the unity, love and concern within families.
The LKG children displayed an array of flowers, some with vibrant colours attracting honey bees, others arranged beautifully in vases with butterflies fluttering around. The flowers varied in size, with some being large and others small. Each child eloquently articulated the significance of their artwork and craft in a sentence.
These interactive learning experiences empowered the children with a positive approach, making education both enriching and delightful.
