Udupi, Jul 18: Dodanagudde government higher primary school alumni association inaugurated on July 14.

Dr Ashok Kamath, vice principal DIET, inaugurated the alumni association and in his inaugural note said, “There is always a debate about whether a big school is better or small school is better. Individual attention is given to each child in small school rather than in big school.”

Dr Ashok on the occasion said, “First grade is something that can be experienced only once in a child's life. Therefore every parent expects it to be a better one. We have to guarantee better quality. Fund in the alumni association does not matter, what matters is the strength of the association.”

In the alumni association election held recently, Parikshith Shet, as president, Keerthi as Vice president, Rohith Karamballi as honorary president, Sowmya as secretary, Yashpal as treasurer, Nagesh as organizing secretary, Prithviraj as cultural secretary, Prakash as joint cultural secretary, Kishore as sports secretary, Nirmala, headmistress as joint secretary and Rafiq was elected as joint sports secretary.

Parikshith Shet, President alumni association, Rohith Karamballi, honorary president, Shantha Udupa, wife of K N Udupa donor, Subramanya Sherigara and others were present on the occasion.
