Mangaluru: St Mary’s High school hosts PTA general body meeting

Mangaluru, Jul 12: The general body meeting of the Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA) was held at St Mary’s High School, Falnir, on July 6 in the school auditorium. The meeting began with a prayer song by the students.

Dr Virupaksha Devaramane consultant psychiatrist from AV Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi, was the resource person. Vipin welcomed the guests and the parents and Veena introduced the resource person. The audited statement and the report of the activities of the year 2023-24 was read by the secretary, Sr Spurthi AC.

The highest scorers of the SSLC Board Examination, March 2023-24 were honored with a trophy and cash prize by the joint secretary Sr Maria Kripa AC. The resource person enlightened the parents on the ‘Emotional Health of Children’. He briefed the parents on various points related to peaceful and joyful family life and motivated the parents to appreciate and encourage their children in all spheres of life as well as to live in harmony with nature. He stressed on the need of inculcating reading habits in children from their childhood.

The headmistress, Sr Maria Nandika AC enlightened the parents on important information related to school life. She appreciated their presence in large numbers inspite of heavy rains and requested their co-operation in the days to come.

Shalet proposed the vote of thanks and the entire programme was compered by Flavy Misquith.
