Moodbidri, Jul 10: Carmel School conducted a special Rainy-Day activity for the kindergarten section on July 8. The theme of the day was "Celebration of Clouds, Rain, and Life." The day was filled with engaging and creative activities that taught students about the rainy season while having fun.
Different activities were conducted where students used cotton to prepare fluffy clouds and created umbrella collages using pieces of colorful paper. The children learned how rain forms and its importance in our lives. They also discussed what items are used during the rainy season, such as umbrellas and raincoats.
The children delighted in engaging activities such as reciting enchanting rhymes about the rain. They were fascinated as they learned about the magical phenomenon of rainbows and marveled at the sight of clouds drifting across the sky.
All students and teachers wore blue-colored dresses to symbolize the rainy season. They also brought blue-colored items like toys and other objects from home. Classrooms were decorated with blue-themed items, creating a visually cohesive and engaging environment.
The day was filled with excitement as students brought their own colorful umbrellas and reveled in a brief playtime outside in the rain. This activity added an extra layer of joy and enthusiasm to their learning experience.
Sr Gracilda AC the principal, visited the kindergarten section, interacting with the students and appreciating their efforts and creativity. She also commended the teachers for organizing such an enriching and enjoyable day.
The celebration was a huge success. The classrooms were vibrant with blue decorations and displays explaining the significance of the day. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the chance to play in the rain, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
