Mangaluru, Jul 6: The inauguration of the school parliament for the academic year 2024-25 took place at St Joseph English School, Adyarpadavu. The event was marked by the installation ceremony of the newly elected student leaders.
Speaking at the event, Stany Bela, production director of Daijiworld media, emphasized the importance of student leadership. He remarked, "A school leader not only sets an example for other students but must also work diligently. By taking on leadership roles, students gain a clear understanding of their future goals."
Usha Fernandes, marketing head for M/s SBEE Cables India Limited in Dakshina Kannada, addressed the gathering, encouraging the newly elected leaders by saying, "Achievements are possible only if we believe in our capabilities. We must aim to be good citizens with noble intentions." She congratulated all the student leaders on their selection.

Head Boy: Trishan
Deputy Head Girl: Jelwita
Red House Captain: Joyson, with assistant Samshina
Blue House Captain: Dhanush, with assistant Priyanka
Green House Captain: Samiksha, with assistant Venkatesh
Yellow House Captain: Sahana, with assistant Afroz
Cultural Minister: Sahana, with deputy Sherin
Language Minister: Nimisha, with deputy Hansika
Sports Minister: Rifa, with deputy Hardik
Discipline Minister: Joel, with deputy Manvitha

Opposition Leader: Evita, supported by Joylin, Azmina, Abeer, and Jonson
The chief guest presented badges to the student leaders during the ceremony. The school's headmistress, Sr Patricia Crasta, administered the oath of office. The newly elected leaders took their oaths, marking the beginning of a meaningful and significant school parliament session.
The event was attended by Sr Sujata D'Souza, teacher Prathima, teaching and non-teaching staff, and members of the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC). Sr Rosi G hosted the event, with Flossy D'Souza welcoming the guests and Anita Pais giving the vote of thanks.
