Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises guest lecture on cultural significance of beverages

Mangaluru, Jul 3: The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University arranged a captivating guest lecture for its students on June 28.

The lecture, titled 'History and Cultural Significance of Various Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (Cocktails and Mocktails)', aimed to broaden the academic horizons of the students. Kaushik M, an assistant professor with expertise in hotel management and tourism at Srinivas University, served as the resource person for the event. This unique topic resonated with students from BBA programmes in aviation and logistics management, aviation management, and aviation travel and tourism management.

The guest lecture was organized by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Sapthami Sharma, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. Roshin K Sibi, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University florally welcomed the guest Kaushik M, an assistant professor, hotel management and tourism, Srinivas University. 

The lecture explored the fascinating history and cultural significance of beverages from around the world, encompassing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. This unique topic sparked the interest of students as they prepare for careers in the airline industry.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Roshin K Sibi, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. The session was compered by Maithri faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University.
